Hunting
The mountainous highlands of Utsjoki are especially popular among hunters with bird-hunting dogs. Hunting is limited by the game population that varies from one year to another. In licence areas 1601-1604 in Utsjoki, you can hunt Willow Ptarmigan, hare, small predators and water birds during the hunting season. Ask us for more information about the hunting opportunities in the area.

Northern Lights Trek
Northern Lights can be spotted in the sky during a guided walking tour on the Tenojoki ice or maybe from a snowmobile sled on the Ailigas fell.

Ice-fishing tour
Have a go at ice-fishing on Pasijärvi or Luomusjärvi. We will take a car or snowmobile-pulled sleigh to one of these quiet lakes surrounded by fells.

Fishing
You can rent a motorboat from Hotel Hansabar for good old-fashioned salmon fishing. The River Inari is also great for fly-fishing in a wilderness environment. Fishermen (and vomen) can use both the Finnish and Norwegian banks of the river. In this case, the fishing management fee (kalastonhoitomaksu) must be paid both in Finland and Norway (fiskeravgift).

Snowmobiles
In the winter, Karigasniemi offers great adventures for those who enjoy snowmobile rides. The trail from Inari branches out to Karigasniemi in Kielajoki halfway down the Karigasniemi-Kaamanen road. The route to the north takes you to Utsjoki and Nuorgam via the Kaldoaivi wilderness area. From Karigasniemi, you can continue on to Norway on snowmobile trails.
